Guitar Toss

In conjunction with the Damm Music Party held on Saturday May 17, 2008 celebrating the newly expanded and remodeled Damm Music Center, the Guitar Toss Contest was held.  The Guitar Toss Contest provided a fun and challenging game for all ages.  Very similar to horseshoes, the object was to toss the guitar so that it would

land in a 22” circle about 40 feet away.  Contestants donated $5 to have 3 tosses; all proceeds benefited the Boys & Girls Club of South Central Kansas.  Several volunteers from the Boys & Girls Club along with some children from the club were on hand to help run the event.  Prizes for those skilled enough to hit the target were donated from Damm Music Center, Schecter Guitars, American Music & Sound, Martin Guitars, D’Addario Strings, Planet Waves Instrument Accessories, Evans Drumheads and Washburn Guitars.

I would like to give A BIG THANK YOU to those who participated in the contest, Stefan McGraw and the Boys & Girls Club, my dad Larry and all of the sponsors that helped make this event possible.  We had a lot of fun and raised some money for a great cause.

P.S. I don't recommend doing this to your guitar, but if you do, I'm sure our repair technician Dean can help restore it to a playable state :)
