Mr. Morrison is a graduate of Rose Hill High School where he became interested in music and in playing the trumpet. He earned his Bachelor’s in Music from Wichita State University and he attended Graduate School at the University of Northern Colorado where he completed his Teacher Licensure Program and Masters in Music.
After student teaching in Colorado, Mr. Morrison secured a teaching position for Atoka Public Schools in Atoka Oklahoma, which he held for 4 years. Mr. Morrison spent 14 years on band staff for Goddard Public Schools, his responsibilities include Eisenhower/ Goddard Middle School Band Director, GHS Marching and Pep Band Assistant Director, Challenger/Discovery Schools 5th Grade Band Instructor and GHS jazz Band Assistant Director. Mr Morrison is currently the Music Instructor for Oaklawn Elementary where his duties include 5th Grade Band and Orchestra. General Music Grades K-5, and Cheetah Choir Instructor.
Mr Morrison continues to have a very active private lesson schedule where he works with beginning through advanced students.
Brett teaches private music lessons at Damm Music Center for most woodwind and brasswind instruments including the flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, sax and more.
