Since 2009, Caleb has been sharing his expertise and passion through private music lessons, and since 2012, he has been a valued instructor at Damm Music Center, where he teaches guitar, bass, and ukulele to students of all ages and skill levels. His teaching philosophy, "Figure out what works, for you," is the cornerstone of his approach. He believes in creating a personalized learning experience for each student, recognizing that everyone learns differently. Caleb strives to identify and nurture individual strengths, ensuring that lessons are both challenging and productive, while also catering to the student's specific musical interests and goals.
Caleb's extensive performance experience enriches his teaching, providing students with real-world musical insights. He has played gigs locally, regionally, as well as touring nationally and internationally. He is a full-time member of several prominent Wichita-based bands, including Pretend Friend (bluegrass), Dustin Arbuckle and the Damnations (blues), The Comfort Revue (soul), Monnie (pop), and Haymakers (folk). Caleb continues to be an active performer in Wichita, gracing venues like Wave, Central Standard Brewing Company, Larkspur, Odd Fellow Hall, John Barleycorn's, Hotel Old Town, Norton's Brewing Company, The Shamrock, Kirby's Beer Store, and Walker's Jazz Lounge with his musical stylings.
His past projects include collaborations with Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy, Team Tremolo, Randy McAlister, Spirit of the Stairs, Bridegeist, Joey Henry, The Travel Guide, Twin Cities, Jenny Wood, The Great Plains, Soleb Theory, Elephant Gun, Eric Schumaker, Japanese Game Show, The Project H, and many more demonstrating his wide-ranging musical interests and commitment to the Wichita music community.
