Hannah Kavanaugh, Sales Associate

Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, and based in Wichita, Kansas, Hannah Kavanaugh seeks to enrich her performance of flute repertoire with contemporary and jazz music. As a flutist, she's enjoyed a wide range of study spanning from W. A. Mozart to Valerie Coleman and beyond, and is also an experienced woodwind doubler. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Performance and Music Industry from Capital University Conservatory of Music in Columbus, Ohio, and a Master of Music in Instrumental Performance from Wichita State University. Currently, she is pursuing a graduate certificate in Professional Studies in Music Performance – Jazz Saxophone at WSU.

Here in Wichita, Hannah is a regular face in the pit orchestra at Roxy's Downtown, as a performer at Bach & Brews, in the Wichita Wind Symphony flute section, and in the WSU jazz ensembles. In the spring of 2025, she had the honor of performing Cécile Chaminade's Concertino for Flute with the WSU Symphony Orchestra as a featured soloist and a winner of WSU's concerto competition.

Hannah is particularly passionate about increasing access to jazz education regardless of age, instrument, or gender. In the past, she has served as an intern for programs such as the Jazz Arts Group of Columbus' Community Jazz Band and Youth Jazz Girls Project in Ohio, and currently assists with the Mid-Kansas Jazz Band during the school year.

Besides music, Hannah likes to spend her free time making commissioned and personal artwork, working on a comic that she dreams of publishing one day, reading fantasy and science fiction novels, and playing video games.
