Katie Teaches Music Lessons For:
A versatile musician, Kelsey Breon is a vocalist and flutist based in Wichita, Kansas. Kelsey was raised in Oklahoma, and her love for music started in high school. She was actively involved in the band and choir programs, where she was the principal flutist, and also in musicals such as Guys and Dolls, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Shrek. She received BM Vocal Performance and BM Flute Performance degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma. In her undergrad, Kelsey was in many opera productions, such as Martha, Pirates of Penzance, Gianni Schicchi, Speed Dating Tonight and The Ballad of Baby Doe. When not performing onstage, she could often be found playing flute in the pit orchestra. Her pit experience includes Cosi fan tutte, Speed Dating Tonight, and Man of La Mancha. She also was involved in the Wind Symphony and Concert Chorale.
Kelsey is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Opera Performance from Wichita State University. In her first year, she got the title role of Amelia in the opera Amelia Goes to the Ball. Kelsey has performed both stateside and internationally in places such as Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Austria. Kelsey believes that everyone should have the chance to experience the joy of music. She hopes to inspire young people to pursue music through her passion and dedication to performing and teaching.
