Instrument Landslide (Start Date)

Community invited to donate gently used musical instruments June 8 - 19, 2026

KAKE & Damm Music are proud to announce the 2nd Annual Instrument Landslide, a community initiative with Music Youth Partnership aimed at collecting gently used musical instruments and giving them new life in Wichita schools.

From Monday, June 8th through Friday, June 19th, KAKE invites the community to donate brass, woodwind, string, and other instruments at one of two drop-off locations: Damm Music Center at 8945 W Central Avenue, and the KAKE Studios at 1500 N West Street.

Donated instruments will be professionally refurbished by Damm Music Center, ensuring they are performance-ready for students by the 2027 – 2028 school year.

Music Youth Partnership is a 501(c)(3) operated by Founder and Director Cathy Grant dedicated to connecting young people with access to music education.

Whether it’s a trumpet collecting dust in your attic, or a violin that’s been outgrown by its player, your donation can inspire the next generation of musicians and provide a solid educational foundation for children in our community.
