Sage Rosales is a dynamic orchestral and chamber musician throughout Michigan and Kansas. She recently earned her master’s degree from Michigan State University, where she studied under renowned violinist Dmitri Berlinsky. Sage holds a position with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, and previously held positions with the Jackson and Lansing Symphony Orchestra.
A passionate advocate for contemporary music, Sage is committed to performing and commissioning works by living composers. She has premiered multiple pieces both in the United States and Europe. Her dedication to expanding the modern repertoire has led to notable collaborations, including a performance with the iconic Kronos Quartet.
In addition to her contemporary performances, Sage has made special appearances with the Urban Orchestra in Detroit where she has accompanied various national jazz and R&B artists. Most recently, Sage opened with the Urban Orchestra for Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Samara Joy, further showcasing her versatility and artistry across genres.
Sage is a dedicated and passionate pedagogue who has privately taught over 60 students. In addition to her private teaching, she has made guest appearances as an artist and instructor at various public schools and youth symphonies. Currently, she serves as the string chamber music coach for the Wichita Youth Symphony Orchestra. Deeply committed to nurturing young musicians, Sage is also preparing to become a Suzuki-certified instructor later this year.
