Sophie Tompkins, Sales Associate
Originally from Abilene, KS, Sophie Tompkins is a second year masters student at Wichita State University where she is studying music composition. She holds two bachelors from WSU: one in Jazz Studies & Contemporary Media, and one in Music Composition. While saxophone is her main instrument, she is also an experienced woodwind doubler and trombone player.
Sophie performs around Wichita as both a classical and jazz saxophonist and has played in various ensembles such as WSU’s Wind Ensemble, Jazz Arts I, Top Jazz Combo, Saxophonics, and newly-formed Vespera Saxophone Quartet. She has performed at Bach & Brews and enjoys composing for a wide variety of styles and ensembles.
